Dr. Lionel Greene, Jr. Oakland CA lionelg@stanfordalumni.org
Hi Everybody! You may remember me from running round-and-round the oval as a member of our City Co-Championship Track Team, or being the author of the "Washington Wheels" column in the school newspaper. While I was not the academic standout at Washington, I wound up at Stanford and MIT, receiving a scientific doctorate and engineering post doctorate in Neuropsychology and in Bioastronautics. I combined those arenas to become an Aerospace Neurophysiologist, a career path I pursued for about 25 years. Most of that epoch was spent on the research staff with NASA in California or AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey. Also during this time I was a Mission Specialist Astronaut candidate and Principal Investigator on a couple of experiments flown aboard the Space Lab and the Space Shuttle. I was also an active duty and reserve military officer for two decades, serving during the Vietnam and Cold War years. You may have seen me in Ebony Magazine as a bachelor in May, 1980.

I did have a life though! I was a DJ for about ten years on both the West and East Coasts on radio stations KZSU, KJAZ, and WBUR in Boston. Jazz is definitely my forte, having played drums with the likes of Eddie Henderson, Dexter Gordon, Charles Earland, and Gloria Coleman, in club venues. For hobbies, I exercise my FAA licensed privileges by flying private aircraft, and swapping stories with my daughter, Tera Aun Greene, who is pursuing a singing and acting career. She performs in California and in New York, and has done parts on shows like Boston Public.

My tenure with the aerospace industry being over, I now devote my time to education and youth development - that is, when I'm not eating as much as I can! 'Love those ribs, sushi, and just about anything else that will fit into my mouth. I've taught at Stanford and San Jose State, have been on the Board of Directors with Goodwill Industries, and currently hold positions on the boards of a couple of youth/community oriented organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!

I worked part-time while my children were growing up and became a preschool director the last four years of my career. I am currently working part-time at a Country Club. My husband retired from teaching in 2003, but continues to coach the girl's golf team for Trabuco Hills High School. When we're not with our family, we spend much of our free time at our condo in La Quinta. We love the desert and the golf.

I always hated the name Velma so I legally dropped it. I am now known as Jean. After graduation I attended LACC. I married one of our former classmates, but it didn't last long. I began my career with Los Angeles County in 1967 and I am currently a Supervising Welfare Fraud Investigator. My only child (a daughter named Michelle) works for the Sheriff's Department, my only granddaughter (Megan) is a 17 year-old freshman at Tuskegee University and my only grandson (Jonathon) is in high school. These productive and ever-striving people are my pride and joy and yes, sometimes my stressors. I have complete faith in God and count my blessings daily. I hope to retire next year and I am looking forward to all that retirement has to offer. I an excited about seeing you all at the reunion.

I graduated from UCLA after taking two years off between my Junior and Senior year in college to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I served my two year mission for the Mormon Church in Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama. I met my wife, Nancy, while we were in Junior High School and we were married 2 months after I returned from my mission in the Los Angeles Temple. We have 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) and 6 grandchildren (5 girls and 1 little boy).

I have been in the financial services business for 30 years and work with retirement planning for individuals and companies and with life insurance and mutual funds and Long Term Care policies as well as annuities and other related services. I still love basketball and played for many years until my knees gave out. I still enjoy watching sports (especially the Lakers, the Bruins and the Dodgers.) Nancy is still my best friend and we have really enjoyed many, many trips away together alone and with my family over the years as we have enjoyed many beautiful vacation spots (Hawaii being one of our favorites). I served as a Bishop for our church for 5 years and we enjoyed that service very much. (The Mormon Church has no paid ministry) so we all serve when called or asked to help. Life has been good and although we have had our share of adversities, we feel very, very blessed as a family! P.S. I made my way through college as the leader of a band. We played all types of music. I played the keyboard and sang. It was a lot of fun. I still enjoy a good Karaoke session!

As some of you know, I barely graduated, and furthermore had to pay back my study hall hours (aka detention) before getting my diploma in September. I think I was Washington’s only Fall ’65 graduate.

Fast-forwarding 40 years, Eiko and I are going into our 36th year. We are proud parents of Robert and Elaine, who graduated together in 1988 from a high school in Japan. Rob was the “Val” and Elaine was the “Sal.” Then, both finished “top” of their classes at Cal-Berkeley, where Rob is now an insurance executive in the Bay Area, and Elaine is an ophthalmologist in Albuquerque. Elaine performed my Lasik procedure (-it’s a good thing that she didn’t hold too many childhood grudges…).

Eiko and I reside in the North Bay, and enjoy our home, garden, and two jealous cats. Our leisure time mostly involves the theater and fine dining in San Francisco and Las Vegas. Although we have lived nearly 20 years in Europe and Asia, the SF Bay Area is our home. Somewhere in between, I earned a BA at the University of Maryland and an MBA at USC –both without any detention. Going forward, I am now working on my fourth retirement: the Air Force, State of California, and the California State Automobile Association. Earlier this year, I began my final (all in Finance) career with the Cal State University – East Bay. I owe my life to my family and some pretty neat mentors.

I am a 25 year Real Estate Broker, with my office located in Palmdale. Married with 1 son also in the firm and licensed by the state. Hobbies are tournament Bass fishing, woodworking and technology. As far as an interesting event, my 15 minutes came when my wife and I were on our honeymoon and stopped in Las Vegas for a couple of days. We caught a show that featured Buddy Hackett, we were running a little behind schedule and arrived about 15 minutes before the show actually started but well after the regular seats were gone. We were seated at stage center and as the show started my wife was singled out for a routine, mostly as a result of his vantage point standing over the audience, from his initial quips I spent the next fifteen to twenty minutes trading one liners with Buddy Hackett to the point that we were later approached by audience members and asked how we got involved with the show, of course we explained it was all spontaneous.

After high school graduation I went to Harbor JC in Wilmington and, after three years, I landed a Job in the aerospace industry. After 25 years got laid-off and was out of work for 5 years. Went back to school in 1997 and got BS from Azusa Pacific University in Applied Management and Business. During the years I was unemployed my spiritual life started to develop. Currently, I do presentations on religious topics and I am currently working on three books in the religious field. I am back in the aerospace industry working for Boeing in Anaheim, CA. I also have a small business doing architectural designs and building swimming pools as an owner-builder consultant. This past January my wife and I celebrated 37 years of marriage. We have four children and seven grandchildren. This summer our youngest son will get his masters degree in English from CSUSB. My favorite past time is studying the Bible and public speaking. I do religious presentations on request and am currently

After Washington I attended Harbor College where I studied Electronics and Engineering. I joined the Air Force in Nov 68 and spent the next 4 years in Florida, The Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and back to California. While in the AF, I developed a passion for photography. I also got my pilot's licence and SCUBA diving certs and did a lot of both for many years. After the Air Force, I attended CSULB and graduated in 1976 with a BS Engineering.

I worked at Apex and Xerox as a Manufacturing Engineer, then Rockwell to work on the B1-B bomber program. I worked in Circuit Design and then moved into Project Management in electrical systems. A lot of fun till we all got laid off at program completion. I then went on to get my Microsoft Certified System Engineer certificate and worked in Information systems in various places and did some consulting.

I have traveled quite a bit: three times to Alaska, to Australia, New Zealand, Figi, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and several trips to Europe. I also spent weeks sailing the Carribian and of couse criss-crossed the USA many times. In 1982 I married Katherine, and we had two wonderful kids, Kristina 20, now attending El Camino and who will be going to San Francisco State in the fall, and Jon 18 who is graduating HS this summer and has been accepted at CSULB. I’m currently retired and spending a lot of time sailing various yachts and traveling.

I Missed most of Winter '65 semester and therefore graduated in Winter '66 instead of Summer '65. I knew many people (maybe half or more) in Summer '65 (I also knew lot of Winter '65 members). The best part about coming of age in the 60s was the music. Did we not have the best soundtrack to our growing up? But what's up with those old botox geezers be-boppin' on TV music retrospectives? Surely they can't be us? Fortunately our vision has softened with our memories and our laps have widened to hold the grandchildren that now enrich our lives. I have recently joined this new demographic becoming, as my daughter anointed me, a new 'glam-ma' last Fall when both my son and my daughter, within ten days of one another, brought two new lives into this world. Now I'm the newbie G'Ma working the aisles at Baby Target. My husband, Ken, an attorney, died in 1994; I hitched-up my britches, gave up a couple favorite past-times and returned to work. I have been Director of Public Relations for a national landscape architecture and construction company for nearly 10 years. (Thank you to the journalism teacher who's name I've long forgotten. Mark Strunin was newspaper editor and because he's a lot smarter than me, he probably remembers :-) I also sit on an educational foundation board and am an independent school trustee here in the San Fernando Valley where I've been camped since being dragged kicking and screaming out of Santa Monica's marine layer in 1977. I travel for work, but it's the travel I do for fun and growth that reminds me that our world is one without borders. GWHS was the best environment to grow up in and the times, indeed, were sweet. I enjoyed reading everyone's profile and send you all a warm hello.

Hi everyone. Can't believe it's been 40 years. I retired 2 years ago from a 35 year career with Delta Airlines in Passenger Service which afforded me the opportunity to learn about and visit a lot of our world. I've been married to a wonderful man for 12 years and have a son from a previous marriage who will soon be thirty, no grandchildren yet. Besides from being totally elated that I don't have to work anymore, my favorite pastimes are attending millinery and belly dancing classes, traveling, and taking care of my prized and extensive cactus and succulent collection. At present I'm an active volunteer with an AARP program and I'm promoting my invention for which I recently attained a U.S. patent. My goal is to visit Oprah on one of her new inventors shows. Wish me luck. All of these projects and pastimes keep me busy but most importantly, making sure that my elderly parents are alright is at the top of my list. Hope to see you all soon and forgive me if I don't remember some of your names so be sure to wear your name tags in big bold letter so I can see it. READY TO PARTY and spend time with you, see ya then. Carmen

Well, after high school and college in Southern California I moved to Sacramento to work for an Engineering and Construction firm specializing in electrical power plants. After a short stint in California, I transferred to the east coast, and worked there for several years. It was a tough transition to go from California, a paradise, to a place that had 4 real seasons most of them not very nice. I met a girl on a blind date in New England and convinced her that marrying me and traveling around the country from job to job would prove to be a rich and exciting lifestyle…she bought it. After 10 years, we moved back to southern California for a project at Pyramid Lake, and then moved back to Sacramento. Other than a 3 year project assignment in La Quinta, CA, we’ve been anchored in Northern California ever since. We have two children, both of them graduated from college and are on their own, so to speak. Our daughter (26) lives in NYC and our son (24) lives in Huntington Beach -- still no grandchildren. I work for an independent power company in Folsom, CA now and still manage power plant construction. I enjoy my work, but I’d like to think a retirement is just around the bend.

My husband Tom and I will celebrate our 39th anniversary in August. We have 3 charming, funny, wonderful offspring. Tom Jr., Alison, and Peter. It goes without saying that our grandchildren, James, Alana, Peter, and Ema are the brightest most beautiful children ever created!

We sail, golf, and travel a good bit as a couple. Tom is from England so we go there almost every other year. We are Marriott Vacation Club Owners in Maui, Kauai, and Oahu that takes us to Hawaii for at least 3 weeks a year. Business travel takes up a good bit of time. We founded a business trip every January that is called BOGUS (Business Owners Gathering Under the Sun) which has taken us to Cancun, St Croix, Aruba, Scottsdale and next year we will go to Australia and New Zealand.
I consider a hotel without room service roughing it and I have never been to a big city that I don't like. I will not be able to make it to the reunion but would love to hear from any who remember me!

I didn't get to finish high school with all of you because my parents moved from my childhood home on W. 108th to the west side of LA and I graduated from Hamilton High. I've always felt that I missed out by not being able to finish school with all of you.

I'm retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after serving a total of 28 years. I worked in various capacities and got to work on a lot of high profile, interesting stuff over the years. During the course of my career, I've been inside the space shuttle, in the cockpit of the Blackbird, a B1A, arrested KuKluxKlan members at a cross burning, worked prison gangs and motorcycle gangs, worked on serial murder investigations, etc. and credentialed as a US Marshal and FBI special agent. My husband is also retired from the Sheriff's Department after 34 years of service and we enjoy the relative peace and serenity of the mountains here in Tehachapi. We refer to ourselves as "used cops"! I still do a little investigative work in the private sector and have my state license as a private investigator. If there's anyone there from Woodcrest or Henry Clay who remembers me, drop me a line.

Hi everyone. After college at San Jose State University and the University of San Francisco, I became a medical administrator. After 9 years as a hospital administrator in San Jose, I was Administrator for a couple of Orthopaedic physician groups, most notably, for 14 years, with SOAR, the team physicians for the San Francisco 49ers. A year ago, my husband, Al, retired from 32 years of teaching high school. We had an opportunity to relocate to the Monterey area where I accepted a new position as the Administrator of an 9-physician gastroenterology group in Monterey. Living in San Jose was nice but we really love our life in the Monterey area; playing golf, sampling the cuisine of many great restaurants, etc. We have 3 grown & married children and 5 granddaughters and 2 grandsons.

Wow, as I scrolled down the list of my old classmates, I was surprised by the number of names I recognized and actually jolted by many, since they were names I thought I'd long forgotten. I live in Fresno, Ca. Moved up here in 1979. After graduation from GWHS, I went to Harbor JC for a year and decided I didn't like it. Joined the Navy, and liked it even less. But I did like the places I traveled to, so after my 4 year enlistment, I went back to Vietnam as a civilian and worked as a helicopter mechanic there for two years. Got married to a Vietnamese woman. Then got hired by Air America and spent a year as a flight mechanic flying in Laos. After the war ended, my wife and I (now ex-wife) went to Iran and spent 2 years there,, training the Iranian Air Force in chopper maintenance. Got tired of Iran, so came back to Calif, had a baby, opened up a bicycle shop with my brother, went broke, went to Alaska and Hawaii and went broke again working in those places, so in 1978, went back to Iran. Got ran out of there by the revolution 1979. Decided it was time to settle down. Went to Fresno State in 1979-1986, got a BS and MS in geology. Have been working for the State of California Department of Water Resources for 20 years. Gonna hang it up next year and retire part time to Thailand. Sorry I won't be able to make it to the reunion. I'd love to see everyone, but I already have a ticket booked for the Land of Smiles. But I'll be thinking of you all as I sip a cold beer on the white sand beaches of Phuket. Best to all of you.

Hi Everyone!

It's been sooo long!! I'm still in the airline business since May 1978. I started with PSA Airlines and it was bought by USAirways. I'm currently going to change careers and work in an Allstate Insurance office with my brother, Mike Amira, whose been in the business for a long time. My marital status is widowed. My husband, Gary Benedict, passed away May 1992. Our sons, Jeff and Pat were only 6 and 3, respectively.
They are now almost 20years (Jeff) ande almost 17 years (Pat) old. They used to keep me very busy with sports, school, church, etc. Now they have their own lives and I am trying to find my place in our family, as I've been both mom and dad to them. I guess I raised them right, to go on to carve their own ways in this life! I'm involved in my church and have met some wonderful friends through it. I still keep in touch with quite a few people from school and even some from elementary (like Emily Wenzel Atkins) and later with Linda Prosser Barger and others from lower classes. I enjoy get together with long-time friends and the new ones, too! I've been busy raising my guys, so I'm still single. Maybe now it will be time to get my life going again, huh?

As far as education, I've taken some classes at El Camino (general), Cypress College (medical terminology) and Cerritos College (medical billing and coding seminar). I've done a lot of snow skiing, racquetball, water skiing, white water rafting, and traveling, because of my airline employment. I've done a lot of traveling in the past 28 years, so I'm very blessed! My life is a real blessing!

My name is Eddie Gilmore and I am really glad to be a proud member of the graduating class of “summer 65”, from George Washington high school. During my attendance at Washington high, I was an Industrial Arts Major; my classmates called me “Eddie”. I was inspired strongly by Mr. Roy Osmond, the Metal Shop Instructor.

After graduation, I volunteered to join the U.S. navy in July 65 and became a “ Machinist Mate E6 Petty Officer 2nd Class“. I served Honorably in the Viet Nam War aboard the Aircraft carrier U.S.S. Kitty hawk C.V.A. 63 until 1969, when I left the Navy.

After, My navy duty, I was happily married to Mary Ball, who was a Graduate of Jefferson High in 65. We have a beautiful daughter, whom we named Mary. After 23 years of marriage, Mary and I divorced, but still remain the best of friends.

I attended Los Angeles Trade Technical College for 2 years and Graduated in 71 with an Associate Degree in Machine Technology Tool and Die Making. My work career has included working for Bryon Jackson Pumps, the World’s largest pump manufacturer and Rockwell Aircraft where I worked on the Space Shuttle and the B-1 Bomber. I am currently retired but have a small machine shop in my garage where I still occasionally do piece work.

I completed a BA in journalism from Pepperdine College and then worked in the film industry for a few years, mostly at MGM as a screen story analyst. I returned to school for a BA and MA in English at CSULA. After graduation, I taught composition, creative writing, and literature part-time at schools like Cypress College, CSULA, and the University of California, Riverside, before settling full-time at El Camino College in Torrance. In 1986, I became dean of Humanities at El Camino, where I remain still, although I've served stints as special assistant to the vice president of Academic Affairs and, most recently, as interim dean of Fine Arts. I have been married to a thoroughly charming and creative woman, Linda, for twenty-four years, and we have a daughter Jennifer, who will be a junior at UCLA this fall. She is an English major, like her dad, and I harbor very secret hopes that she will become the Asian American answer to J. K. Rowling. I am looking forward to renewing old friendships September 24.

After graduating from Washington High, I completed a bachelor's degree in bacteriology at UCLA. I then trained for a year in the Cytology Laboratory at the Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center, have worked there for 32 years, and am now Chief Cytotechnologist. Our main goal is early detection of cancer. I love working at this institution, serving those who are in the most need.

Thanks to all my teachers at Washington High for the education enabling me to succeed in my career.

I moved back to LA in 2003 after spending 17 years in San Diego. I had previously lived in Nashville, TN for 8 years, and before that, in Chicago for 10 years. After graduation from USC, I finished my MA and Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Northwestern University. Currently, I'm a clinical professor in the department of psychiatry at UCLA involved in clinical work and conducting research in behavioral medicine. I've been an academic psychologist my whole career beginning in 1973. Prior to UCLA, I served on the faculties of UCSD and Vanderbilt University. While in San Diego, I was also the Program Director of the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program at the California School of Professional Psychology and also directed the Health Psychology Ph.D. Program. I've been married 34 years to Betsy who is a special education teacher at El Camino College. I have two children, John, 32, and David, 28. I enjoy golf, music, college football, and the beach environment at Hermosa.

Got thrown out of UCLA. Drafted twice but managed to avoid induction by becoming a perennial student; eventual Ph.D. from UCSB (did dissertation on dead whores and gamblers). Became an academic migrant worker. Finally ended up in jail--California Youth Authority--as a prison professor (most rewarding job imaginable). After twenty plus years took an early retirement to take an adjunct professorship at Ventura College and to write poetry (not necessarily in that order). Also became a financial planner because I found that I hate to see people cheated, especially me. In between I married, became father to the world's two best sons (Jacob is at UCLA working on a Ph.D.; Josh is at UCSB working on beer), and acquired a divorce made in heaven. After several less than perfect relationships am now happily in love.

Hello Everyone! A few evenings ago I spent time with all of you as I read about your lives and accomplishments. What a joy! What happy memories came back to me! For days now your names and faces have danced through my head. Why, some of us go back to Jr. High! Since I came late to this occasion and won’t be able to be with all of you on the weekend, I would like to speak with you now. Thank you Paula Hartsfield Johnson for letting me know I was among“ the missing.” Thank you so much Pat, Stephen. ( the website is awesome!), Tricia, Johnny and all the others through out the years who have been on the reunion committees keeping the “Spirit of 65” alive.

My heart swelled with pride as I read about the longevity of your marriages, the expressions of love for your children and grandchildren (yikes! Can that be?), the successes in your chosen careers and the joys of travel and personal growth that have brought you much satisfaction. I felt sorrow for those of you who have lost your mates and children or who have experienced a divorce. I admire you for picking up the pieces of your life and going on; that takes great faith and strength of character.

As for me, those of you who knew me knew I really wanted to pursue the ministry work and, this I did. After graduating from UCLA‘s dental assistant program, I enjoyed my work in the L.A. area until “ Prince Charming” came into my life. I was honored to become Mrs. Rod Juliani on September 30, 1967. We lived in Pa. for a few years then accepted a bible educational assignment in the rurals ( and I do mean rural!) of Tennessee. Since our work was voluntary, my husband honed his entrepreneurial skills and we began a company together. Thirty-one years later, and we are now international. We can hardly believe this! We are so grateful! Visit us on the web at: www.super-seal.com. We grew up together in TN. and learned about life. Our greatest joy was finding honest-hearted ones who wanted to learn about Jehovah God’s purpose for the earth as outlined in the Bible. We had no children but we have a lovely niece, Courtney and her husband Jason who live in Rhode Island. Also, we are happy to be Uncle and Auntie to many. We returned to CA. about ten years ago to care for my parents and to begin a new life on the West Coast.

I truly enjoy photography, reading, gardening, working out and holding hands in the last row of the movie theatre with a coke, popcorn and a great film.

Wow! 40 years guys! What a ride, huh? During our Washington years we shared the shock and sorrow of the assassination of the President as well as feeling the fear and tension during the Cuban Missile Crisis. That was only the beginning! But, through it all, we have cherished the good, been grateful for the blessings and enjoyed the happy times.

Although I enjoy all music and lived near Nashville, my first love was and is Motown. So, on Karaoke night, when someone sings” My Girl”, I will be listening.

Best wishes to all of you, now and always.

Sure wish I had bought a Yearbook so I could put faces to all the names! (Hate these "senior moments"!) Anyone have a extra yearbook for sale? Enjoyed reading all your stories and wonder about those who are "missing".

After Winter '65 graduation, I attended UCLA on full scholarship for a year and a half. Dropped out to work full time in order for my 1st husband to keep his Vietnam student deferment. In November '65, I had married my GWHS sweetheart, fellow Winter '65 grad, Conrad Richard McKay. (See his new registration on this site.*) We had a son and a daughter who are now 38 and 33, and we had twin sons who died in infancy. Our exciting, but stormy, marriage ended in '78. We have 1 granddaughter. During those years I was a computer programmer with the L. A. DWP.

In April '82, I married my wonderful husband, Alan. We are still enjoying an exciting (but not stormy) marriage. We have an 18 year old daughter who has just started her 2nd year at college. Also have 2 lovely step-daughters, 2 sons-in-law, and a 4 year old step-grandson. We are currently Guardians of a 15 year old, and in the past 2 decades, have been guardians for other children of alcoholic and drug addicted parents. Also do volunteer work for Children of Alcoholics and Addicts.

Alan and I met working in the Satellite Division at TRW where I was a Quality Assurance Engineer and Alan was a Aeronautical Engineer. Had great fun over the years traveling to Cape Canaveral for the Space Shuttle Ops of the TRW satellites we had worked on. Loved living at Cocoa Beach, FL, for up to 18 months at a time. We have been retired for 2 years now and absolutely adore the retirement life.

I was an amateur genealogist for the past 20 years and now do professional genealogy, mostly specializing in African American family history research. I am a Field Editor for the African American Heritage web site, researching and contributing data files, bios, etc. I also accept commissions for doing individual family history research and have had several articles published about Kentucky genealogy.

My life has been blessed and eventful. A couple of "interesting events" have been: 1. At age 40, tracked down and met my father who I hadn't seen since I was 2 years old. 2. Then discovered that he had also abandoned 2 other daughters that he knew nothing about. I immediately proceeded to "find" my sisters and we have become friends. 3. Surviving 3 bouts of cancer; in '90, '91, and 2000,(that's an "interesting" life event but I don't recommend it).

Some of my brightest memories of GWHS are: 3 years of Mrs. Grillo's French classes, hiding in the girl's bathroom during 3rd period for a week to avoid dissecting frogs(yucky), taking Geometry twice and still only getting a sympathy C-, the hilarious and inadequate Sex Education class they gave us for one week in P. E., and those yummy cinnamon rolls at morning break.

But my fondest memories are of English teacher Mr. Harry Tadeo. Took his classes for all 3 years. Does anyone know anything about him????? I really wish I could thank him for literally saving my sanity during those years I was living in an insane and abusive home. He opened my life to the world of literature and showed me a path both thru and out of my family of origin. God Bless you Mr. Tadeo, not only for helping me get my scholarship but for making me believe in myself. Mr. Tadeo, you also got me addicted to books, I read 2 or 3 a week and it has been one of my life's best and sustaining pleasures. I would love to hear from anyone else who felt their life was enriched by knowing him.

I didn't socialize much during my years at GWHS. As soon as I could get a work permit, I was working everyday after school and all day Saturdays. Then, too, I sure couldn't take anyone home to "Meet the Folks".

The only GWHS '65 grad I have keep in touch with thru the years is Jerome Metcalf. Would love to hear anything about, or from, my GWHS best friend, Laurine Bencangey, who is listed among the "missing". I would also love to hear from anyone who remembers me.

In '65 I thought people our ages were older than dirt - amazing how young we are at the same age! Time flies and each reunion year I said I would go to the next one. Well, God willing, I'll be there for the 50th. Best wishes to you all until then.
